Seamless Sanctuary Roof Recovery with Solar Integration at St. Matthews Episcopal Church

Seneca Village

Overview

Our team was contracted to recover the sanctuary roof at St. Matthews Episcopal Church in Austin, TX. This 13,286-square-foot project required meticulous planning to accommodate an active church environment, a strict timeline, and seamless coordination with a solar company installing new panels. To minimize disruptions and ensure project milestones were met, our team developed a comprehensive safety plan and strategically scheduled early morning tear-offs to reduce noise disturbances. Additionally, we implemented a phased approach, completing the upper roof sections first enabling the solar
company to proceed with their installation. Clear communication and close collaboration with both the church and the solar contractor were essential to the project’s success. By proactively coordinating schedules and maintaining an efficient workflow, we were able to complete this project ahead of schedule. The result is a high performance, durable roofing system that seamlessly integrates with the church’s new solar energy infrastructure.
